University of Toledo hires men's assistant basketball coach, Jordan Mincy

Jordan Mincy, a former Kent State standout point guard, has been hired as an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Toledo.Mincy, 26, spent last season at College of Charleston after coaching two years at Kent.

Upon his graduation in 2009, Mincy’s 135 games played were more than anyone in Mid-American Conference history. He led the team to 93 wins and two NCAA Tournament appearances. Mincy ranks seventh all-time on the school’s career assists list (347).

Mincy broke into coaching in 2009-10 as a graduate assistant at South Carolina.

Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk lost two assistants this offseason, Angres Thorpe and Ryan Pedon.
