Storm falls in last preseason game

DAYTON - The Toledo Storm completed its preseason schedule with a 5-3 loss to the Dayton Bombers last night.

Jeff Lang scored twice for Toledo, giving him four goals in the Storm's four exhibition games. Lang also assisted on a goal by Shawn Collymore.

The Storm was outshot 41-27 as it finished the preseason 1-3. Chad Collins played the entire game in goal, making 36 saves.

Some Toledo players appear to be in midseason form, including enforcer Rob Snowball, who got into a fight for the second night in a row. Jonathan Tremblay and Adam Keefe, both of whom were acquired on Saturday, also displayed their fighting abilities last night.

Toledo opens the regular season at 7:35 p.m. Friday at the Sports Arena against Dayton. Tickets are still available.

The Storm then plays in Dayton on Saturday and in Johnstown on Wednesday.
