Less than 300 tickets remain for the Toledo Walleye's season-opener on Saturday.
The limited number of tickets for the game against Wheeling at Huntington Center at 7 p.m. can be purchased at the arena box office, by phone (419-725-WALL), or online toledowalleye.com.
Individual tickets for the home opener are $16.
A pregame tailgate party also will be held at Huntington Center.
The Fish-Tailgate Party starts at 4 p.m., and a ticket is not required. In Theory, the winner of the local Battle of the Bands' contest will be playing, and the Walleye players will be on hand.
The players also will be at Capers Pizza Bar in South Toledo for an autograph session today at 6 p.m. The team's mascots also will be at both events.
Toledo opens its season in Wheeling at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Walleye then play five straight home games at Huntington Center. Tickets for those games are $15 for adults, $13 for kids 12 and under, and $13 for seniors (65 and up). Children 2 and under are admitted free.
