Favorite way to spend time away from the rink: Anything outdoors. I love boating, water sports, hunting, and fishing. You're cooped up in a rink awhile during the season, so it's good to get outside.

Hockey player you admired growing up: Joe Sakic. I was a big Avalanche fan growing up because we didn't have a team in Minnesota at the time.

Favorite sport other than hockey: Golf on TV if it is in HD and with the shot tracker.

Favorite type of music: Anything with a good beat.

Favorite meal? A good filet mignon.

Have you ever eaten walleye? Oh yeah. I've had plenty of walleye, salmon, and halibut. Once a year we take a trip to Alaska and I live on a lake in the summer, so we eat plenty of fish.

Favorite beverage: Coca-Cola.

Best fast food: Timmy Horton's breakfast. They have phenomenal cinnamon rolls.

Favorite movie: Dumb & Dumber.

Person you most admire: Dad, Bob.

If you could meet an person who would it be? Any of the presidents.

Favorite place you've been to? Anywhere with a beach.

Top sports moment: Representing the USA (2006 national U-18 team). To be able to throw on that jersey is something I’ll never forget.

What's your hockey superstition? Everyone has some type of routine. I put on my stuff left to right.

Nickname: Youdsy or Benny.

What would you be doing if you weren't playing hockey? I have a degree in finance, so probably something with sales.

Something nobody knows about you: I love to cook. I've been doing a lot of stuff in the oven late. I'm honing my baking skills.
