Walleye veteran Randy Rowe has won the ECHL's Sportsmanship Award.

Rowe, a 12-year veteran, has tallied 28 points with 13 goals and 15 assists in 60 games this season for Toledo. He has been assessed only 19 minutes in penalties.

Rowe, who has played in 621 ECHL games, has never had more than 38 penalty minutes in a season.

The award is presented annually to the player who has exhibited the best sportsmanship combined with a high standard of playing ability.

Earlier this season, the Burford, Ontario native became just the seventh player in the 25-year history of the ECHL to reach the 600 games played plateau. Rowe ranks 14th in ECHL history with 235 goals and is tied for 18th all-time with 532 points.

Rowe, who has played in 720 total games as a pro, has played for Peoria, Johnstown, Charlotte, and Trenton in the ECHL.

This is Rowe's second stint with the Walleye. He had 49 points (19 goals and 30 assists) in 65 games for Toledo in 2010-11.

Toledo, which has clinched a playoff spot, plays at Wheeling tonight in the last regular-season game.
