Winter storm warning is issued for the region

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for most of northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan through at least 11 a.m. today.

Snowfall amounts between 5 and 12 inches are predicted across the region through midday today, with heavier amounts possible in counties west of Toledo, the weather service said.

Snowfall is expected to diminish to flurries by this evening.
