Toledo area breaks weather record
People celebrating the Fourth of July experienced record breaking heat Wednesday, as the day’s high of 100 degrees surpassed the previous recorded high for that day, 99, set in 1990 and 1955.
Today’s heat might also break records. The National Weather Services forecasts today’s high to be 97 degrees, just below the record of 99. The heat index value could reach up to 104 degrees.
Northwest Ohio is also under a heat advisory from the National Weather Service until 9:00 tonight. Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid too much direct sunlight.
