A LESSON IN TEXTILES AND HISTORY

Janet Rozick, a Metroparks historical program specialist, shows preschoolers how people in bygone days carded wool, one of the steps to making yarn. She explained how the wool would have been sheared from a sheep and later spun and dyed. The combination of a textile and history lesson was at Oak Grove School at Wildwood Metropark.
