t Holland-Springfield-Spencer Historical Society,

7:30 p.m. May 24 meeting at Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Hwy. Naomi Twining and James Hill will speak on the Fulton County's King International Underground Railroad. School-aged children and adults welcome.

t Holland-Springfield-Spencer Historical Society memorial service, 6 p.m. May 26 at the Springfield Township Cemetery. Services will be led by Rev. Steve Nelson, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Holland. This year's recipients of the society's Historical Families Project, Dennis Sage and Thomas Wood, will be honored. Representatives from the Township and Village will be present. Open to the public.

t Sylvania Northview band and orchestra boosters car wash, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 19 at Dave White Acura, 5880 Monroe St. There is no rain date. Donations are appreciated.

t Sylvania Schools FFA plant sale, May 19 and 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of Southview High School, 7225 Sylvania Ave. Flats for $9, hanging baskets $14- $20 or two for $35. Also available, container gardens, perennials, flowering trees, greens and vegetables.

t First Christian pancake breakfast, 8:30-10 a.m. May 19 at the church, 5271 West Alexis Rd. Adult $5, child $3.

t Sylvania Franciscan Academy family alumni reunion, May 20 at 5335 Silica Dr. Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Queen of Peace chapel on the Lourdes College campus. t Bike Rodeo for grades K-6, June 9 at the Northwest Ohio AAA office, 7150 West Central Ave. Bike safety presentation by the Sylvania Twp. Police Department, bike checks, helmet fittings, and an eight-station obstacle course. Bike rodeo begins 9:30 a.m. with the obstacle course at around 10:45 a.m. Free, but advance registration required by phoning 419-843-1287.
