Registration forms are available at the Sylvania Township Police Department for this year's Safety City program at Central Elementary School, at Central Avenue and King Road.
The program, which has been presented for about 15 years, is meant to give safety rules and tips to children set to enter kindergarten this coming school year.
Dan Krajicek, a township police officer, said props are used to teach children basic pedestrian and bicycle safety, possible dangers with electricity, how to act if strangers approach them, and other situations which they may confront in their early years.
He added that the program, presented in morning and afternoon sessions, usually attracts about 150 participants.
The program is scheduled for June 23 through June 27.
Registration forms are also available on www.sylvaniatownship.com. Search under Departments for the Police listing and then click on the Forms heading.
