    nbrsdaylilyp 7/13/2008 The Blade/Herral Long Jack Church of weston oh who has over 900 varieties of day lilys shows Barbara and David Milanowski of holland his huge - foot actoss daylilly You Ever Wanted to Know About Daylilies? is the theme of the Daylily Expo that the Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society will host on Sunday, July 13th. The expo will be held in the Terrace Room at the Conference Center of Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Drive, beginning at 1 PM. It is free and open to the public. Lots of daylilies will be on exhibit, plus special demos and programs will be presented during the afternoon until 4 PM. A floral arranging demo using daylilies will be given by Pat Anthanitis, Fran Houghtlen will present a program entitled ?More Than a Pretty Face?, and learn how to divide a daylily clump. You can tour the national daylily display garden, sample daylily soup and daylily salad, see the ?privy? daylily exhibit and exhibits on daylily hybridizers, and talk to members of the Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society who will be on hand to answer your questions. Charlene Patz of Perrysburg, the president of the Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society, breaks up a clump of the flowers. The expo took place in the Terrace Room at the Conference Center at the garden. Included in the program were exhibits, special demonstrations, and a chance to taste day lily soup and day lily salad.
