A Garage Sale to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team of Delta takes place from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. July 10 at GB Manufacturing Co., 1120 East Main St. Donations will also be accepted. This is rescheduled from June 19 because of rain.
A benefit performance for the Children s Rights Council takes place from 7-9 p.m. July 7 at Olivet Lutheran Church, 5840 Monroe St. Master of Ceremonies will be WTOL- TV, Channel 11, news anchor Jerry Anderson, with entertainment by Eddie Boggs, Dick Wolf, Neil Light, Collaboration, and Streetwise. Toledo historical and architectural cruises on the Maumee River aboard the Sandpiper boat are presented by the Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor. The two-hour cruises take place from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 6 and from 8-10 p.m. Aug. 10. Local historian Fred Folger tells stories and points out sights.
