BOLT starts contest for short stories

The Board of Library Teens (BOLT) of the Swanton Public Library is having a short story writing contest for students in grades six to eight.

Entries will be accepted from March 1 through April 30. Any middle-schooler who lives in Swanton or the surrounding area is eligible.

Details and entry forms are available at the Swanton Public Library and the Swanton Middle School office.

Cash prizes will be $25 for first-place, $15 for second, $10 for third. Judging will be by an independent panel selected by BOLT members.
