Dr. Randall Schlievert has been named honorary chairman for the March of Dimes Foundation's 2010 Signature Chefs Auction on Oct. 25 at Parkway Place in Maumee.
The March of Dimes signature Chef Auction plays tribute to the culinary excellence of the top local chefs for the benefit of mothers and babies in Northwest Ohio. In addition to the meal and vintage wines, guests can bid on unique auction items.
Dr. Schlievert is chief academic officer and designated institutional official for Mercy. A Toledo native, he graduated from Genoa High School.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the March of Dimes campaign to reduce the rate of premature births and birth defects.
