First grader D.J. Hollstein, 6, enjoys the various bears "visiting" for the picnic.
Regina Coeli School in West Toledo was filled with special ‘guests' for lunch recently — teddy bears. First grader D.J. Hollstein, 6, delights at the array of bears aligned in the school gym and viewed by a string of his classmates and others at the school. Later, the students spent the lunch period outdoors for a ‘teddy bear picnic.' The stuffed toys were then donated to the Domestic Violence Division of the Toledo Police Department.
The bears were put in place by students such as Bailey Osborne, 13, right.
