Pat Nowak, executive director of the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce, presented a check to Mary Arquette, Lourdes University's vice president for institutional advancement, for the Walter H. Chapman Scholarship for Study Abroad last week.
Funds for the start of the scholarship, amounting to $12,000, were raised during Mr. Chapman's 100th-birthday gala, which took place in June.
