Warders Warders

David C. Warders, a senior executive with Dana Corp., has been named director of human resources and labor relations at The Blade, according to Joseph Zerbey IV, vice president-general manager of the newspaper.

Mr. Warders will be a member of the senior management team and will report directly to Mr. Zerbey. The appointment is effective Aug. 1.

"We are very fortunate to be able to bring Dave on to our team," Mr. Zerbey said. "He is a consummate professional and will add a great deal of expertise and leadership to our company."

Mr. Warders is a 27-year employee of Dana, where he most recently was director/vice president of industrial relations, responsible for all labor contracts.

In addition to supervising all human resource matters for The Blade, Mr. Warders will be the lead negotiator for the company next year when contracts expire with the newspaper's eight labor unions.

Mr. Warders is a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He and his wife, Peggy, are the parents of two sons and reside in Holland.
