DETROIT - A Chrysler LLC spokesman said Plastech Engineered Products Inc. will continue making parts for the automaker at least through April 30.
Spokesman Kevin Frazier said yesterday that a fifth temporary supply agreement has reached. An earlier agreement expired yesterday.
Plastech filed for bankruptcy protection Feb. 1. It stopped shipping parts to Chrysler, including much of the Toledo Jeep Assembly complex.
The deal buys both sides more time as they haggle in court over whether Chrysler can retrieve equipment it owns from Plastech. Chrysler is appealing a federal bankruptcy judge's ruling that it can't get back the equipment.
