The Blade has launched a quarterly magazine for business and community leaders.
The first edition of Toledo BIZinsider, a 40-page publication, is being mailed this week to 10,000 leaders in metro Toledo and another 5,000 copies will be distributed at various business offices.
The free publication will have stories about local businesses and the issues they face each day, on finances, personnel, and other matters. It will contain stories that are different from those in The Blade, but the local stories and columns will be available upon publication on toledoblade.com.
The premier edition has a cover story on Allshred Services Inc., a 20-year-old privately owned Maumee business that destroys 28 tons a day of documents, computer disks, and other material from companies in six states.
The first BIZinsider also has stories about Waterford Bank in Sylvania Township and about hiring plans at local life insurance companies. It also includes columns written by Richard Eppstein of the local Better Business Bureau and by Jack Chezek of the local office of SCORE, a retired executives mentoring service.
The next edition is scheduled for December.
Story ideas can be submitted to biz in si der@the blade.com. To obtain a copy of Toledo BIZinsider, business professionals can contact Dave Barth at 419-724-6406 or at dbarth@to le do blade.com.
