The U.S. Census Bureau is still seeking hundreds of Ottawa County residents to help with this year's decennial census, set to get underway in earnest this month.
As many as 500 additional applicants from Ottawa County will be able to test for the temporary positions, which pay as much as $14.25 an hour and can last through September, depending on the job.
Dwight Stewart, assistant manager for recruiting at the Census Bureau's Toledo branch office, said similar jobs in Lucas and Erie counties have been filled. Ottawa County applicants can apply at 1-866-861-2010.
