Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc. said Wednesday that its customer rate in July will be 62 cents per 100 cubic feet of natural gas, equal to this month’s rate.
The new rate is based on Wednesday’s natural-gas commodity closing price of 43 cents on the New York Mercantile Exchange, plus 19 cents for a state-regulated service charge.
The utility said that, based on the new price, the average Columbia Gas customer’s bill in July will be $32.18.
