Charles Parcher has been named president of FirstMerit Corp.’s Toledo region, the Akron lender announced Monday.
Mr. Parcher, who started in June, previously was senior vice president and commercial region manager for Huntington National Bank in northwest Ohio. He will oversee four FirstMerit branches in the Toledo area. The position formerly was held by Donald Kincade, who led FirstMerit’s Toledo operations since the bank opened its first local branch in 2004.
The bank had $84.3 million in Toledo-area deposits as of June, 2010, or a 1 percent market share, according to recent data from Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
