CANTON — Marathon Petroleum Corp. had a fire at its Canton refinery in Ohio Wednesday, Shane Pochard, a company spokesman, said in an email.
There were no offsite injuries or other effects.
The Canton City Health Department was notified of a fire at the refinery Wednesday at 10:52 a.m. that burned for 5 minutes. Onsite emergency crews extinguished the fire and it wasn’t known how much hydrogen gas was released, according to the notification.
