Indiana firm buys 2 plants from Dana
SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- An Indiana company has purchased two manufacturing facilities from Maumee-based Dana Holding Corp. for an undisclosed price.
Schaefer Gear Works Inc. has acquired the plants in Fredericktown, Ohio, and Blacklick, Ohio. Both are in the central part of the state and have a combined 158 salaried and hourly employees. Schaefer indicated that it would keep the employees.
The plants make axles and diferentials for leisure, all-terrain, and utility vehicles.
