Businesses eligible for hail, disaster loans
Businesses in five counties in northwest Ohio may be eligible for new federal assistance if they experienced financial loss because of the hail that occurred on July 1, 2012.
The U.S. Small Business Administration will make available federal, low-interest disaster loans to agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses, most private non-profit organizations, and small business owners in Erie, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Wood counties who were affected by the severe weather.
Individuals and businesses may apply online at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. For more information, call 1-800-659-2955 or send an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Loan applications can also be downloaded from www.sba.gov.
The deadline to apply for SBA disaster loans is May 6, 2013.
