Lucas Co. sales tax hike to take effect
From socks to automobiles, things are going to get a little more expensive in Lucas County come April 1. That’s the date the county’s sales tax rate inches up a quarter of a percentage point to 7.25 percent. Lucas County Commissioners unanimously approved the increase in January, but state law requires any changes in tax rates to go into effect at the start of a new quarter.
