Hart Inc. will relocate its headquarters from Maumee to downtown Toledo by early next year.
Mike Hart, president of the advertising and marketing agency, announced today the company is moving its offices into the Hylant Building at 811 Madison Ave. The firm will occupy two floors of the office building, which are expected to be renovated in the near future.
Mr. Hart will also become part owner of the Hylant Building, which was constructed in 1960. The building is currently owned by Hylant, an insurance company.
All 60 of Hart’s employees from its 1915 Indian Wood Circle office in Maumee will move downtown. The company has another 20 employees at its Columbus office.
The company got started in downtown Toledo, and Mr. Hart said the move represents both a homecoming and a vote of confidence in the city’s redevelopment.
“I have always been proud to call Toledo my home and am excited for the opportunity to play a role in the redevelopment of our urban core,” he said in a statement. “The Hylant Building is important to Toledo, and our agency is excited to make it our new home.”
