Craigs' 60th Mr. and Mrs. Jack E. Craig were married July 7, 1948. They have 4 children, Dennis; Kathy Holt; Jack Jr., deceased, and Kelley. They will celebrate with a family dinner planned by their children.

Falveys' 43rd Alice Mutter and Tom Falvey were married on July 3, 1965, in Detroit. A native of Hancock, MI, in the Upper Peninsula, Alice is a retired RN who worked in several Detroit hospitals and in Toledo at St. Vincent and Toledo Hospitals. A Toledo native and Army veteran, Tom taught in the Detroit Public Schools and for 30 years at Rogers High School. Tom and Alice had three children, Anne, Christopher, and Mary, all of whom passed away from cystic fibrosis. The Falveys now reside in Sylvania.

Friends' 65th John Friend and Jean Schwarz were married on July 3, 1943 at St. Mark Lutheran Church by Dr. Burman. John left on July 5, 1943 for duty in the US Navy Aircorp as a pilot, flying a torpedo bomber and returned home Dec. 8, 1945. They lived n East Toledo and raised three children, Gary, deceased 1973, married to Joyce, who later married Bill Meyers; Warren, married to Sue and Kathy, married to George Myers. From this group came 3 grandsons and their wives, and 3 granddaughters and their husbands. They in turn have given 13 great-grandchildren and one more on the way. The Friends' moved to Oregon, Ohio in 1977 and, except for 1 1/2 years, are still there. They are celebrating the day with their son, daughter, and their spouses.

Gillens' 65th Cecil and Rita (Schetter) Gillen of Swanton will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on July 10. They were married at Gesu Church in Toledo on July 10, 1943. Mr. Gillen is retired from The Andersons. The couple have seven children, Ronald (Elaine) of Greenville, South Carolina; Gerald of Howell, Michigan; Janice (Dennis) Grose of Plain City, Ohio; Charles (Janet) of Auburn Hills, Michigan; Lawrence (Candace) of Maumee; John (Charlotte) of Ottawa Lake, Michigan, and Patricia (Kenneth) McCabe of Urbana, Ohio. They also have 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Congratulations Mom and Dad, with lots of love from all of us!

PATHS' 60TH! William and Lucille Path celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with their family on July 4th. Lucille Baldwin met Bill in Texas where he was playing semi-pro baseball. They were married in her hometown of Paint Rock, TX and then moved to Bill's hometown of Toledo. They have 2 daughters, Debra (Chip) Buchman, Lauren Path and grandson, David Buchman.

Peiffer~Folley Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Denise Peiffer and Drs. Andrew and Loree Taylor Folley are pleased to announce the marriage of their children Angela Sue Peiffer and Austin Taylor Folley. The wedding took place on June 27th, 2008, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the reception following at Parkway Place. The couple will reside in Columbus, OH.

Posner ~ Greenberg Karen and Curt Posner of Toledo, Ohio announce the engagement of their daughter, Robyn Lynne to Eric Jonathan Greenberg, son of Jan and Joel Greenberg of Lyndhurst, Ohio. Robyn is the granddaughter of the late Sylvia and Franklin Shore of Toledo and Florence and Hy Posner of Toledo. Robyn is a 4th grade teacher in the Cleveland Hts. / University Hts. School system. Eric is the grandson of Gerda Schmitz of Fort Wayne, Indiana and the late Max Schmitz and Frances Greenberg of Cleveland and the late Raymond Greenberg. Eric is an architect with The D. H. Ellison Co. in Cleveland, Ohio. An October wedding is planned at the Valentine Theater in Toledo, Ohio.

Rakovans' 50th Bob and Sandra Rakovan celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 4, 2008. They have three children, Tim (Tammy) Rakovan, Terilyn (John) Appt and Tonya (Tony) Asmus, and five grandchildren, Tyler, Noelle, Gillian, Noah and Alexis. A dinner party in their honor took place on July 5th with dear family and close friends.

Ray~Meller Erika Ray and Brent Meller were united in marriage on June 14, 2008, in an outdoor ceremony at the Toledo Botanical Gardens. The bride's parents are Robert and Ann Ray of Lambertville, MI. The groom's parents are Jerry and Delores Meller of Swanton, Ohio. The couple currently resides in New York City.

Syreks' 40th Len and Darlene (Babel) Syrek will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on July 6, 2008. They met while hanging with friends at Yum Yum Diner. He was standing next to his 1965 GTO, she walked up and gave him a compliment on his car, he offered her a ride, she of course accepted, and the rest is history. They have 2 daughters, Tami (Steve) Spangler, and Melenie (Brian) Nelson. They have 3 grandchildren, Preston Spangler, Sophia and Michael Nelson. A family dinner will be held at Cousino's Steakhouse. We love you so very much Mom and Dad.
