Rossford city council last night voted to pay for a state audit of the agency formed to develop the stalled outdoor amphitheater at the Crossroads of America site.
Council approved spending $13,313 for the audit of the Rossford Arena Amphitheater Authority. State auditors sent the invoice for the audit to Rossford after they determined the authority was created at the city's request.
The audit was released in September. The authority recently announced it was abandoning plans to build a 12,000-seat ice hockey arena and will focus on completing the half-built amphitheater next door.
