Schedules of holiday closings

All city, county, state, and federal offices will be closed Christmas Day. City offices in Toledo, Oregon and Sylvania also will be closed all day Friday, and Ottawa Hills city offices will close at noon Friday. Lucas County offices will close at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

In addition to Christmas Day, Rossford and Northwood offices will be closed Tuesday.

Other selected schedules for the holiday are as follows:

  • Financial institutions: Fifth Third BankMart locations are open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Mid-Am Franklin Park Mall banking center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Eve. All banks are closed Christmas Day.

  • Retail stores: Christmas Eve hours for Southwyck Shopping Center will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; for Franklin Park Mall, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Woodville Mall, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; North Towne Square, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Westgate Village Shopping Center, noon to 5 p.m.. All shopping malls and the shopping center are closed Christmas Day.

  • Utilities: Columbia Gas of Ohio and Toledo Edison phone lines will be open for emergency outage calls Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Toledo's department of public utilities will be closed tomorrow through Christmas Day.

  • Library: The Toledo-Lucas County Library will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

  • Mail service: There will be no delivery of mail by city or rural carriers, and no window service at the main office or any station or branch on Christmas Day. There will be delivery of Express Mail and residential Priority mail. Express Mail service hours will be 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Bus service: Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a holiday/Sunday schedule on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

  • Liquor store: Sale of spirituous liquor on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will not be allowed at contract liquor agencies.

  • Trash pickup: Refuse collection for most communities will be delayed by one day, except for Rossford and recycling for Ottawa Hills, which will remain the same.

  • Parking: City of Toledo meters and city garages are free Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
