BRITTON, Mich. -- An elderly Ann Arbor couple was killed Thursday evening when the man drove into the path of an oncoming car in rural Ridgeway Township in Lenawee County.
Michigan State Police troopers said Donald Garber, 78, failed to stop for a stop sign on Britton Highway at Clinton-Macon Road. Mr. Garber and his wife, Ruth, 74, were killed when they were hit broadside by a car driven by Mathew Burman, 18, of Britton.
Police said Mr. Burman received minor injuries from the 8:10 p.m. crash. No citations were issued.
