For the third consecutive year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio has received a $10,000 leadership award for excellence and its commitment to diversity.
The agency is one of nine affiliates from among 500 nationwide to receive the Annie E. Casey Leadership Award.
The award, announced at the agency's national conference June 29 in St. Louis, recognizes its national standards of excellence.
The Annie E. Casey Foundation, based in Baltimore, awards grants to nonprofit groups that help children and families.
Affiliates were judged on quality of service, leadership in the community, participation in Big Brothers Big Sisters, and commitment to growth.
