Golf course burglaries probed in Williams County

BRYAN - The Williams County sheriff's office is investigating a series of burglaries at area golf courses.

The first break-in took place yesterday morning at the Suburban Golf Course in Bryan, where robbers stole about $350 in alcohol and tobacco. A few hours later in Montpelier, the Hillcrest Country Club was robbed. Thieves ransacked the club and cut telephone lines before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Later, vandals broke into the Riverside Greens Golf Course in Stryker and stole cigarettes and soda.

Sheriff's deputies say they have no suspects.
