Fremont resident denies child-endangering charge

FREMONT - A Fremont man pleaded not guilty yesterday to a child-endangering charge in connection with burns his baby daughter sustained from hot bath water.

Robert Haynes, 25, was arraigned in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court on one count of felony child endangering and wasfreed on a personal bond by Judge Margaret Weaver. He is scheduled for trial Nov. 26.

The indictment alleges that Mr. Haynes failed to prevent his daughter, who was almost 2, from burning her feet in hot bath water April 12. The girl suffered second and third-degree burns.
