AAA to check auto batteries without charge

AAA Northwest Ohio is offering free battery checks today and tomorrow to help northwest Ohio motorists prepare for the winter driving season.

The checks will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will be available for passenger vehicles only.

The process takes between 10 and 15 minutes, unless a battery replacement is needed. Replacements will be available for purchase and installation at prices of $64.95 and up, the auto club said.

Check hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at:

Port Clinton office, 123-A Maple St., today.

South Toledo office, 5106 Heatherdowns Blvd., tomorrow.
