Police identify victim in fatal crash into tree

LIMA, Ohio - Police have identified the man who died Friday when his pickup truck veered off South Woodlawn Avenue and struck a tree.

Douglas L. Jones, 59, of Lima went off the street, just north of Lakewood Avenue, about 2:35 p.m.

and struck the tree, police said.

He was pronounced dead at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
