Wet driving conditions cited in man's death

WAUSEON - A 19-year-old Lyons man was killed yesterday when the car he was driving went off Fulton County Road 18 and struck a tree, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Raymond C. Elliott was southbound on County Road 18, nearly a mile south of County Road M-N, when his car went off the west side of the road. Troopers said wet driving conditions may have been a factor in the 12:20 a.m. accident.

Mr. Elliott was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

Troopers in Lima said the accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
