Better security sought for Huron County offices

NORWALK — Huron County officials want more security at the county administration building.

Officials have been concerned because visitors now must enter the building through a rear door and sign a log.

Department employees, not trained in security issues, are re|quired to sit at a desk to greet visitors and direct them to appropriate offices. Each department must provide employees to staff the desk eight to 10 hours a week.

Department heads complain that the decision wastes time.
