BOWLING GREEN - The Wood County Park District is preparing a fund-raising campaign for construction of a nature center at the W.W. Knight Preserve in Perrysburg Township.
The board of park commissioners reviewed architectural drawings yesterday by the Collaborative Inc. of Toledo for the $700,000 center, which would include an educational lab, a wildlife observation window, a staff office for a naturalist and park ranger, and restrooms.
Director Neil Munger said the park district has about $400,000 set aside in its budget for the project.
