DELTA - A body found Thursday night in Bad Creek has been determined to be a male's, but an autopsy has been scheduled for this morning in Lucas County to identify the victim.
The body matches the description of John Carney, 22, of Delta, who has been missing since April 4. Police believe Mr. Carney was eastbound on Road D, west of County Road 6, when his car veered off the road and went into the creek.
The car was pulled from the creek 600 feet from where the body was found Thursday night.
Divers in the area found a human toe near the vehicle. Dr. Harry Murtiff, Fulton County coroner, had no comment on whether the discovered body was missing a toe, and he had no additional information on the identification of the body.
