A 3-year-old Northwood boy was pulled unconscious from a pool last night at a home at 814 Farkas Rd., where his family was visiting.
Bryan Harlan, 3, of Oregon Road, was admitted to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
John Jett, who lives at the Farkas Road house, said the youngster apparently jumped into the in-ground pool wearing arm floats about 8:40 p.m. after adults who had been watching him went inside the house briefly.
An older child ran into the house to get help when the boy didn't surface, Mr. Jett said. The boy's mother pulled him from the pool, and Mr. Jett dialed 911. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation was administered. The boy was conscious when a rescue crew arrived.
