FREMONT - A Tiffin woman remained hospitalized yesterday with injuries from a three-car collision Saturday night on State Rt. 53.

Amy Hergesheimer, 42, was in fair condition in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where she was taken by helicopter after the crash.

According to the Fremont post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, a northbound car driven by Melissa Tucker, 16, of Fremont went left of center about 6:05 p.m. near Ballville Township Road 9. A southbound car swerved out of the way, but Ms. Tucker's car struck Ms. Hergesheimer's sport utility vehicle and a minivan driven by Paula Schepflin, 36, of Fremont, both of which were traveling south.

Ms. Tucker and a passenger in her car, Jacob Vollmar, 17, of Fremont, were treated at Fremont Memorial Hospital. No one was injured in Ms. Schepflin's vehicle.

Ms. Tucker was cited for driving left of center.
