Ottawa grand jury indicts assault suspect

PORT CLINTON - A Port Clinton man who allegedly attempted to escape from authorities after he was placed in a police cruiser has been indicted by an Ottawa County grand jury.

Jeffrey Goehring, 24, faces charges of assault, vandalism, escape, and aggravated menacing. Police arrested him Oct. 13 for allegedly assaulting an Oak Harbor resident.

When they placed him into a cruiser, police claim he kicked out the car window.
