FOSTORIA - Fostoria City Council will discuss Tuesday whether to grant ThyssenKrupp Atlas, Inc., a tax abatement for a $11.2 million project that will create 15 jobs within three years.
The company plans to purchase equipment and rebuild machinery at its 210-employee Fostoria factory, a move to help make diesel-engine crankshafts for heavy-duty Caterpillar trucks. The 75 percent, 10-year tax abatement being requested would save the company about nearly $1 million.
