B.G. seeks nominations for community awards

BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for three awards for civic involvement.

The chamber will recognize an outstanding male and female citizen at its annual meeting-dinner dance Feb. 1 and present the ATHENA Award, which recognizes an outstanding professional woman who made a substantial contribution to the community through her career and civic involvement.

Nominees for outstanding citizens must be Bowling Green residents for at least five years and demonstrate a continuing interest in serving the community. Forms are available from the chamber office on North Main Street, where they must be returned by Dec. 31.
