Faculty, administrators, and managers at Medical College of Ohio will get 2 percent raises effective Jan. 1. The pay increase will be the first for that group of employees since January, 2000.
The raises will cost MCO about $575,000 including benefits, and affect 300 faculty members and 150 managers and administrators. The MCO board of trustees approved the raises unanimously.
MCO approved raises in January for its 1,700 union employees. Those raises gave union employees a 3.75 percent raise, followed by raises of 3.25 percent in July and again next July.
In other items of discussion, the trustees last night said they should select a search firm by next week that will help the board choose a president.
The board said it hopes to pick a president within six months.
