Tiffin to gain portion of auto parts business

TIFFIN - This Seneca County city's gain is a neighboring community's loss.

A Toledo company that is relocating part of its business to a Tiffin industrial park is among 16 Ohio companies approved for tax credit by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

Toledo Molding & Die, Inc., will receive a 60 percent tax credit for seven years to relocate and expand its auto parts business. The plan involves moving its Sycamore operation to a new 192,000-square-foot building in Tiffin, which was in competition with three other states for the $14 million project.

The move will provide 65 new jobs within the first three years of operation in Tiffin and relocate 147 workers from Sycamore, a small town in Wyandot County, about 25 miles south of Tiffin.
