Woman is injured in Arcadia home fire

ARCADIA, Ohio - A woman was injured yesterday when a fire destroyed her home.

Darlene Suman was treated at Toledo Hospital. The Monday-night fire, which investigators believe was started by an artificial Christmas tree, destroyed the mobile home owned by the injured woman and her husband, Jerry Suman, Jr. Their son, Dustin, 17, was treated at Fostoria Community Hospital; their daughter, Stacey, 17, was unhurt.

The Washington Township Fire Department is collecting items for the family at the Gibson Street station from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Assistant Fire Chief Bruce Meyer said.
