Teenager charged after Mich. pursuit

ADRIAN - A Morenci High School student is to be arraigned in Lenawee County District Court today for allegedly leading Michigan State Police troopers on a chase Wednesday.

Adam Snead, 17, was arrested by state troopers after the chase. Police said troopers saw a pickup traveling at high speed on Benner Road in Dover Township about 9:15 p.m. and tried to pull it over. The chase, which troopers said reached 100 mph, lasted for seven miles. It went through two farm fields, and the suspect allegedly ran six stop signs before the truck got stuck in a muddy field at Benner and Seneca Highway.

The teen was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree fleeing and eluding.
