Perrysburg City Council will ask contractors to offer bids for a new city police station.
In a 6-0 vote, council agreed last night to advertise for construction bids for a $7 million police station on West Indiana Avenue, a proposal that more than triples the size of the current 4,200-square-foot station.
Plans call for the main floor to include a dispatching office, roll-call room, break room, and an evidence room, and to be able to connect to the municipal court next door. Last fall, the project was scaled back from a 40,000-square-foot station costing $12 million.
